Dan is of Colombian and Irish heritage. He was born in Long Beach, California in November 1999 and moved to Cincinnati Ohio with his family in 2006.
Dan’s love for music, especially rock, was very apparent from the time he was a toddler. His album of choice while riding to pre-school was Metallica’s Black album. He got his first drum kit when he was 4 years old and started taking lessons at age 8. Throughout his teen years, he starting focusing on Jazz and Latin percussion which has allowed him to become well-rounded in multiple genres. In addition to writing, Dan also reads/sight reads.
Dan has played with several local bands, including his great friends and former bandmates in Trauma Illinois. He is influenced by many notable artists including Dave Weckl, Matt Garstka, Dave Lombardo, Thomas Pridgen, Jojo Mayer, Eric Moore II, Morgan Rose and many, many more.
Dan is currently working with recording artist Mick Blankenship supporting his album Crown of Apathy. They are being managed by Skip Mattan at Solstice Artist Management and Public Relations firm, Mitch Schneider Organization.
